Intimate Apparel follows Esther Mills, a young African American seamstress in 1905 Manhattan, as she creates beautiful intimate apparel for clients ranging from wealthy white patrons to African American prostitutes all while navigating the unfamiliar territory of love and what it means to be intimate.
